Ok , my name is Henry and I am Marie's favorite dog in the whole shelter. She comes in he evening to walk me and we go for long walks and then she sits and plays and hugs me. She would take me home but she has two other big dogs that might object. Please take the time to come and meet me. Marie says I look like the RCA dog.. Not sure who that is but you may..
The adoption fee is $100 which helps in covering the medical treatment that has been completed. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, testing for HW, HW preventative, rabies vaccination, wormings, annual vaccination, and flea and tic treatments.
If you are interested in adopting this pet, you must complete an application. You may email or fax the application to the shelter. If you have other questions you can call the shelter @ 904-321-1647 or email us at adoptnhs@yahoo.com. We cannot hold a pet for adoption; therefore if you plan on traveling to the shelter please call before you leave to assure the pet you are traveling to see will be there. Some of our pets are in a foster care home with a volunteer and if you wish to meet those pets an appointment will need to be made. Thank you for considering one of our shelter pets for adoption.

Procedure:
You must complete an application which
may be printed and mailed or emailed to us. (To email the form: Select
all, copy, and paste into your email software. Then edit as needed.)
After receipt of the application, there is a 24 hour waiting period before adoption. The adoption fee is $90 for dogs and $75 for cats. This fee will cover the cost of spaying or neutering as well as other medical work for the animal.
While we believe that all of our pets available for adoption are healthy, because many arrived as strays from animal control, we require that you take your new pet to a veterinarian within a week after the adoption to receive a wellness check up.
We will do whatever we can to help you find your new best friend. Our goal is to adopt out as many of our animals as quickly as possible so that their time spent in the shelter is kept at a minimum. Please help us find homes for all of our "kids." Thank you.
