Jack

Jack

Jack and Mom

Jack

Jack survived the ride to Tampa. By the last half hour he finally fell asleep. Everything he sees is a big adventure and I think he was afraid he would miss something.

My other dog Gypsy was a little jealous at first, but Jack did not let that bother him one bit. Now they are the best of friends, and play and run around all day.

Jack is a great dog with a wonderful personality. I cannot wait to see what he will look like when he is full grown!

I will continue to keep you informed of Jack's progress and want you to know that you have another success story with one of your dogs.

Bye for now,
Lorraine Rivers

Hi Sparky & Linda,

Just thought you would like an update on Shogun now Jack - he is a wonderful dog and has the greatest personality. He and my other dog, Gypsy Rose, play and play all day long.

He has had a few medical problems, but my vet says his immune system has never had a chance to build since he was a puppy. His mange came back big time along with a staff infection. He got bit by a spider and his leg swelled up for two weeks. He got stung by a bee and his eye was swollen shut. He has allergies.  But through it all, he has been wondeful, we laugh and tell him that if anything is going to go wrong he will find it!

The vet now keeps him on benadryl every day, keflex for another month to build up his immune system and ivermectin for at least another 2 - 3 months to make sure all the mange is gone and his immune system will be able to handle any mites on its own.  He also gets a bath twice a week with a peroxide based shampoo to make sure all the dead mites do not stay in his pores and cause hair loss and infection again.  So he is the cleanest dog around and we would not give him up for the world.

I'm attaching 3 pictures of him full grown (now 65 lbs) with all his hair and another one with his new summer hair cut.
Hope you enjoy getting these updates on Jack, take care
Lorraine & Joe Rivers
