Parchisi (renamed "Gordon" by our 4 year-old) was adopted the weekend after Thanksgiving, 2008.  We were looking for a dog that could keep up with our son and be a companion for our older dogs.  We saw "Parchisi" on your website while we were in town visiting family.  When we went to meet him, your staff was very honest with us:  he was not house/crate trained and had no obedience training or manners.  His personality, wagging tail, and big smile won us over, despite the challenges ahead of us.

Since coming home with us, he crate-trained quickly and easily.  He has graduated from a basic obedience class and is now attending an advanced obedience class.  He is a star pupil!  He learns quickly and is eager to please.  He's also become an ambassador for pit bulls.  Thanks to his friendly demeanor and love of other dogs, he is always making new friends.

When it comes to our kids, he and our son wear each other out (and I'm grateful).  He is very gentle and subdued when dealing with our 4 month-old daughter.  He's also great with his new "siblings" (2 senior dogs, 1 senior cat).

We knew we'd have a lot of hard work ahead of us with Gordon, but are relieved to report that his adjustment has been seamless!  Thank you for introducing us to him and allowing us to give him a forever home.
